CIL Management Center curriculum specialists are experienced in developing and delivering educational programs for a variety of independent living audiences and venues. The CIL Management Center staff has twenty years of experience in facilitating group problem solving and applying a variety of problem solving techniques and methods. Problem solving consultation is available for small groups and with individual clients. Establishing a dynamic and inspiring vision communicates who you are, who you serve and what you strive to be. Your mission identifies actions to achieve the vision. CIL Management Center staff will guide you and your board through a Vision / Mission Development session to generate a view to the future. The result of four years of management research with CILs, the checklist is an inventory of over 150 management practices commonly used at independent living centers. Working with the executive director, a trained CIL Management Center staff facilitates the administration and analysis of the checklist. The Organizational SnapShot takes your through nine categories of CIL management operations and provides a framework for future organizational development. Upon completion, the SnapShot is a historical reference and a "benchmark" for measuring growth and progress. CIL Management Center staff are experienced in administering and facilitating the completion of the SnapShot for CILs. Applying the SnapShot to your SILC will result in a framework which incorporates the development of the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) with the transition and growth of the Council.
