The COMPENDIUM is a repository of information on independent living center organization and management. Information is gathered on:

  • organizational structure
  • programs and services
  • staffing and salaries
  • revenues and financial sources
  • management documents

341 CILs provided detailed information about their centers. Some CILs shared copies of their management policies, organization charts, procedures, bylaws, job descriptions, and forms. All documents in the COMPENDIUM are from actual CILs. Anonymity of the sources of these documents is ensured. They are presented in their entirety with minimal editing.
